1962 Nova convertible. This is a running driving project car that needs to be restored, but this car has been sitting since 1986, so I wouldn't get in it and start driving it around, although I did drive it about 5 miles yesterday. According to Chevy by the Numbers, it has a 68 Corvette 327 in it--the code is TO9I9HJ, but please do your own research on that. It runs pretty good, but it smokes, like the valve guide seals are shot. The transmission is a Power Glide and shifts good. The rear end is a 10-bolt, it doesn't make any noise. It has 5 lug in the front. At some point, someone filled the body side moulding holes. The car is in primer and has some rust, but not too bad. I put over 50 pictures on Photobucket, so if you email me I can send you a link to it. The convertible top mechanism is all there and in good shape, but the canvas of the top is gone mostly. The car is pretty complete, which really important on a convertible, because some of the pieces are really hard to find. What the car is missing is, of course, all the side mouldings, the back seat, the rear cove mouldings, and it has Corvair seats--the outside seat tracks bolt into the car, but the inside seat tracks don't, so it would also need a set of inside seat tracks. This car has a clean title in my name.
